Dallas Pets Alive! – Adoptable Trends
Letca Films is proud to have participated in the creation of these spots to support Dallas Pets Alive! and a great cause. Following a creative team from Dieste Inc, Jorge Colón directed this sequence of pet owners’ familiar situations colored by buzzing phrases and humor.
Dallas Pets Alive (DPA!) is a non-for-profit organization devoted to providing the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals. In an effort to further their endeavors, the organization has teamed up with the full service-marketing agency Dieste Inc to raise awareness on the issues of shelter animals and pet adoption. As DPA!’s Executive Director Leslie Sans says “creative approaches to marketing our adoptable pets is critical to finding them forever homes.”
Following the viral success of their previous effort #muttbombing DPA! embarks on this new campaign titled Adoptable Trends, which continues to take advantage of social media platforms to generate interest in the adoption of shelter dogs.
Adoptable Trends is a fun campaign based around the power of social media trending topics to transpire into deep personal aspects of our lives. This concept explores the possibility of these trends making an ever-lasting impact in our history, by taking the shape of our four-legged best friends.
This humorous spot, directed by Jorge Colón, depicts a series of interactions between pets and their owners. At first we don’t see the animals, but we hear key phrases that, though very familiar to us, seem out of context. The spot quickly shapes up and at the repeated mention Miley Cyrus Twerking we completely understand that the pets have been named after Trending Topics. The in crescendo of humor continues until the last second of the spot.
This campaign was made possible by the collaboration of Dieste, Inc, Letca Films, Personal Music, and Standing Dog.
